Looking west after a hike away from the trail.

On the mid to lower left you can see the snow-filled ribbon that is part of the trail. The bulldozers hadn't made it that far yet. Some of the rock up here is laced with Rose Quartz. A common indicator of the presence of gold. There were also many fossils that indicate this was once part of an ancient sea bed.
