Clearing the trail. This pic is illusive and looks smaller than it really is. The D8's swath is about 20 feet wide. You can depict the snow-filled trail as it hugs the mountain. The pic of the ponds was taken months later near the structure on the right. It wasn't very accessible at this point in time. |
Marmot mounds. These elusive little creatures seem to fair well up here. But they only showed there little faces long enough to 'bark' their displeasure of my presence. They would pop out from under a nearby rock, voice themselves and be gone as quickly as I could turn around. |
