Dancing here varies throughout the year. MONDAYS feature a live orchestra and there is actually some room on the dance floor.
You're likely to get in some Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba and various Swings. If you are serious about
dancing, this is the night. Tuesday and Thursday are Country nights, mainly line dances.
Wednesday is 50's 60's rock 'n' roll night but the bands may throw in some other stuff.
Weekends are often DRUNKFEST. Music loud, conversation
impossible. Bar drinks (including juices and non-alcoholic beverages) are
tiny and overpriced. Bartenders grumble if you don't leave a huge tip for the $5.50 6 oz.
glass of ice with 2 oz. of cranberry juice or the $6 bar drink.
For a place this size, the dance floor is too small.
El Segundo Joslyn Center - 339 Sheldon St. El Segundo
Every Saturday from 7:00 -9:45. $2 admission - you can't go wrong. Light refreshments. Room to dance to a
variety of ballroom tunes. You can hop over to the Hacienda afterwards if you want more time on the floor.

Hacienda Hotel - El Segundo
GREAT PLACE. Some of the very best dancers in the area. Tuesday and Thursday are West Coast Swing nights.
Wednesday is Hustle. Friday, more WC Swing and a variety of other great
dance music. Three dance floors with one being a practice area for those learning or expanding
their skills. No cover. Some munchies provided. Reasonably priced beverages. The music is
always at a volume that is easy to dance to but still allows you to have a conversation with your
dance partner on the floor or at a table. Way too cool. If you take the art of dancing seriously,
bring your Capezios cuz this place is hot.

Nice little Friday night dance spot for those who like to Tango, Waltz, Swing, Foxtrot, Cha Cha,
Rumba or Salsa. $10 cover. A 1 hour dance lesson is available at 8:00 PM or just
go at 9:00 for a few solid hours of dancing all of your favorite ballroom dances.
Complementary food and refreshments. It's not too fancy but you sure can dancy.
I just heard that they are under new management so maybe they will now answer the phone and update their website.
Swing and Sway Dance - Joslyn Center, Manhattan Beach
2nd Friday of every month, 08:00-11:00, $6 dollar cover charge. Music runs the gamut of ballroom
and swing dances. Do some Lindy, West Coast, East Coast, Hop, Big Band, Country Two-Step, Cha Cha,
Country Cha Cha and take a line dance lesson. A great venue to practice your ballroom and other dances.
